My sistas, if you are 29+ then now is the time for you to build the
new you. The Awka Love Doctor spent lots of time thinking of ways
and means to get you down that aisle and here's my top 10 list of a
few timely things you can do:

10) Time to throw selectivity out the window sistas. Stop dissing
and dismissing 28 out of every 29 guys you meet. Time to start
showing interest in all 29. Old, young, it shouldn't matter. If
Stella could get her groove back at 40+ why not you? Exactly.

9) Time to stop believing in Hollywood movies. They are the
manifestations of imaginative folks that are aimed at boosting their
bank accounts. Especially make a point to destroy all male bashing
films like "Waiting to Exhale" coz if you keep watching them you
will be waiting to exhale well into your 50s.

8) Time to get creative with cosmetics, sistas. Time to push it to
its outer limits. I hear there's now paint for everything.
Eyelashes, nose, cheeks, lips. The works. So paint like you are
Picasso.

7) Time to make the gym your favorite friend. The stairmaster and
treadmill were designed with you in mind. So master dem.

6) Time to stop watching "The Bachelor" sistas. That stuff ain't
real. TLC is what it is right now. TLC sistas! "A Wedding story"
shows you how its done. "A Dating Story" will get you there. And "A
Baby Story" will give you a reason why. TLC is the answer sistas.

5) Time to smile at every man you meet including those on the street
and on the subway. We love girls who smile you know - we think they
make great wifey material. A smile will get you to the aisle. So
smile for the cameras sistas. Smile for mankind.

4) Time to lower your income requirements sistas. Men that make a
million dollars and more with the Central Park West penthouse are 1
in a million sistas. So stop digging for the gold and lower your
income requirements. The lower you go the more men you will meet.

3) Time to stop searching for the next Denzel Washington, Taye Diggs
and Morris Chestnut. There's only one of each in America and they
are all taken. But I recommend Dayo Wasiu, Tochukwu Dike and Mukhtar
Cheikh. But if they are not available here, make it a point to visit
the town of Awka on your next trip home to get quality naija men.

2) Time to make yourself widely available. Bookmark every event in
town that draws 10 people or more, be a regular at the bookstores,
sip at starbucks, walk all the parks, visit church every sunday,
dance at all the weddings and the law of large numbers will
reward you eventually.

and the #1 tip....drumroll please...

1) Time to COOK sistas. Not stuff for yourself. But stuff for him.
Cook with him in mind sistas and make it special. Frying plantains
