The Grace of God“May the grace of God be with you.”
If you are a religious person and most of us are, then you have no doubt
said this countless times, but what does it really mean? God’s grace,
we say it and it becomes a platitude but like all things supernatural,
its power may be more than we can comprehend. What is grace?Seemingly effortless beauty or charm: The beauty of God that requires no effort, no makeup, no fitness regimen, no lessons on eloquence, just the gift of God. A quality pleasing for its refinement: Often times we have heard women described as graceful. “She is so graceful” often that is considered a mark of good breeding, of status and of class. Well the blessing is that as children of God we have the ultimate breeding, irrespective of our earthly circumstance and “class”. If we behave as God has asked us to, then we too will exude grace and refinement. A sense of propriety: Another mark of a graceful woman is her ability to know just what is appropriate where and when, even when the rules are not clearly defined. When we move according to the spirit, He, who is most graceful, leads us. A disposition to be generous or helpful: For many of us, it is not our nature to be generous or helpful, many of us do so out of obligation, but we can pray for the grace of God to be with us and then we will begin to see out personas change. Undeserved Favor: Who has received favor when they least deserved it. Who knows the joy of that experience? Well that is what God’s grace is, unconditional favor. Divine love and protection: As His children we can pray for his love and protection and believe we have it, but we can also be assured that when we are loved and protected on earth it is by his Grace. Not by our own doing, not by any guns we may keep in our homes, not by security systems we install, not even by the defense systems we place around our hearts so as not to get hurt. An excellence or power granted by God Grace may seem like a passive quality but we have seen that it is not. If you are a woman walking with the Grace of God, you are afforded power and excellence from God. He is with you and thus you have all his blessings and protection and love and your person becomes changed and you are not the same. When we say may the grace of God be with you, we pray a powerful prayer
for each other and so it is by faith that we pray, may His grace be with
you always!
